Avocado Milkshake

This is real.

This really popped into my brain. This really happened. This was REALLY good. I promise.

Avocado + Ice cream = what??? why??? how??? Yes, I know. Let me start by explaining that I plan my vacations around food. For instance, I read an article about Peru in Bon Appetit magazine that mentioned a flavor of ice cream called lucuma that you can get ONLY in Peru. Ever since then, I’ve wanted to go to Peru. I haven’t… But that ice cream is still calling my name.
I also read somewhere that in Brazil avocados are often served in desserts rather than savory dishes. I mean, at this point, count me in for a South American food adventure!! But I can’t afford that… so hence, our situation. I made an avocado milkshake.
Honestly, leave it to me to completely destroy a superfood with ice cream, milk & sugar. Sorry not sorry.
The creaminess and freshness of the avocado really elevate this milkshake from boring-town to woah-this-is-crazy-weird-but-somehow-amazing-town. Also, this could seriously be a meal replacement because it is SUPER filling. Ridiculously delicious and filling.
Okay, I warned you that my brain is crazy. But milkshakes are really just a vehicle to unleash this crazy side. What weird milkshake flavors have you thought about? I’ve been thinking of a caramel, banana, marshmallow situation… Uh oh.
