Brace yourself. I’m about to humble brag real quick.
I cook 6 out of 7 days a week. I sometimes instagram these meals. And I often get asked what recipes I use.
Okay. Rolling your eyes yet? If someone said, “I work out 6 out of 7 days a week. & I #gymselfie every day!! & people are always asking me WHAT I DO!!!” I’d literally want to stab that person. So I get it.
But for real. Cooking is important. & I’ve worked hard to get a system down. I have an arsenal of about 70 recipes that I’ve made again & again—I would serve any of them to dinner guests. And I want to share them. I want to share the ones I really like, the ones I really LOVE (in bold) and also the ones that you should avoid with a ten foot pole (to save you trouble & to prove that not all recipes work out).
Before I start, my advice: If a recipe doesn’t work out for you, don’t blame me. I tweak SO many of these recipes SO much. I think of recipes as jumping off points—but ultimately, you’re the captain. For instance, in the tangy sweet salmon & rice salad, I add a WHOLE package of mint, chopped. And I add WAY more lime than listed.
Also, I never ever measure spices or salt. I eyeball everything & usually add more than listed.

Balsamic Soy-Glazed Chicken (I would eat Domino’s wings over this crap)
Lasagna-Style Baked Ziti (this was like chewing a flavorless baked tennis shoes)
Orzo with Beets, Olives, Feta and Soft-Boiled Eggs (I worked hard on this one…I don’t often make boiled eggs. But I LEGIT ate one bite, & went to bed hungry. WORST ONE.)
Rice Vermicelli with Chicken and Nuoc Cham (I was excited. SO disappointing. Flavors are just OFF)
Spicy Coconut Noodles (Flavorless, starchy mass…DELISH!)
Steak Fingers with Gravy (so sad. I don’t like Chicken Fried Steak. I LOVE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. Why God? Why did this taste like poorly seasoned cardboard?)
Thai Beef with Basil (Just wrong. SO wrong.)
Turkey Spinach Sliders (DRY, DRY, DRY. BLAND, BLAND, BLAND.)
